Upwyze (“Upwyze”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides a platform for students and tutors to discover each other, chat, book online or in-person sessions, join workshops, and handle payments and tutor payouts. Our website is https://www.upwyze.net/home.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our mobile apps, website (https://www.upwyze.net/home), and related services (the “Services”).
• Name, email, phone number, password hash
• Role (student or tutor)
• Profile details tutors or students add (bio, subjects, city, avatar)
• Referral codes you enter or share
• Booking/session and workshop details
• In-app messages/chats and reviews/ratings
• Top-ups, purchases, refunds, and withdrawal/payout records
• Tutor payout details you provide (for example, account or Instapay identifier and account name)
We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Payments and payouts are processed by third-party providers.
• App identifiers (for example, internal user ID), device push token (for notifications)
• Logs and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services
• Cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and provide core website features
Upwyze may ask you to add a city or area for in-person availability. We do not automatically collect precise GPS location.
• Provide core features (profiles, chat, booking, workshops, wallet, payouts)
• Send transactional messages and notifications (for example, booking changes and status updates)
• Customer support and service improvement
• Safety, fraud prevention, and enforcement of our Terms
• Legal and financial compliance (for example, transaction records)
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
• Service providers (hosting, email or SMS, analytics, payment and payout processors)
• Legal and safety purposes (to comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect users and rights)
• Business transfers (for example, merger or acquisition)
We do not sell personal data and do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
Customer payments and tutor payouts are handled by third-party processors. Those providers process your payment data under their own policies. Upwyze stores limited records such as amounts, status, and timestamps for accounting and compliance.
We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When you request deletion, we delete or anonymize data not required to be kept.

Upwyze is intended for users aged 13+ (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact info@upwyze.net and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to protect your information in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
